Homesick and Missing Family and Friends
Saturday, May 14, 2011
Homesickness is slowly creeping in. You know, the usual; missing family and friends. But this week was tougher then normal. I'd been holding onto hope that a certain person could make the trip down but we now know they won't be able to make it. On the brighter side, I realize that I'm only here for a little while longer and I will get to see my family and friends shortly.
Our original plans were to spend 6-9 in South America (where ever that took us) and stay longer if we could land a quality job. Terry is still receiving random calls about jobs which usually end the same way after he informs them of his lack of a work visa. However this Monday, he has an interview with a company who knows visa situation. If this turns out to be a good opportunity we'll talk about staying, but as of right now we are focused more on our Exit Trip to come home in August or September. Since it's about $500 cheaper to fly to the States from Lima Peru, we are putting together a list of locations to visit as we head that way. So far it's looking like Buenos Aires->Bariloche->Mendoza->Santiago->Valparaiso->Cuzco->Lima.
