Photo Montage of Foods of South America

While looking through our pictures, we noticed how often we apparently pop out a camera to capture our gluttony. Here is our gastronomical conquests over the past 8 months in South America.  I understand there is way to many shots of food here, but be sure to scroll down to our pictures of cuy in Ecuador.

--------------------
Argentina

Bolvian food (fried chicken, fries, rice and spaghetti noodles) in Lieners in the outskirts of Capital Federal

Argentinians love ham on there pizzas

Cheap Ugi's pizza - $3.25 for a large

Choripans

Pizza covered in Basil

Persian Rice at Sarkis - Delicious

Bruchettas of Lamb at Sarkies (Armenian Food) in Palermo

This was called "Meat Pizza" - It was a slab of meat with pizza toppings on top.

Garapiñadas - hot candied peanuts

Locro - a traditional thick soup eaten during Argentina Independence Day

We each ordered our own sandwich without any idea that a single sandwich could feed two easily.

We ordered this side of fried to go along with our giant sandwiches above. Again no indication of size on the menu.

One of our many meal on a bus

Submarino - Hot Milk with a chocolate bar that you mix in yourself

Buenos Aires fines fondue restaurant serves hot dogs mixed in with their beef tips

Chile

Hot Nutz!!!

Tuna Salad stuffed Avacado - Yes that mayonnaise was scrapped off first

Peru

We found a great deal on a pizza in Cuzco.
What we didn't plan for was how their idea of a sausage pizza is exactly like our idea of a hot dog pizza.
It was so horrible that we haven't eaten another hot dog since

You can purchase hard boiled eggs from a women that sells eggs so fresh that she drives the birds around with her all day.

Fried Calamari for Lunch - $2 with a appetizer and drink

Ceviche that we made at our Spanish School

Probably a general rule that you shouldn't purchase fish for less then $2, but it wasn't bad

Lomo Saltado - sauteed beef over fries

Tacu Tacu - rice and bean mixture

Ecuador

The "Ice Cream Man" without a truck.  This girl stepped on our bus and sold us a cone for 25 cents each

Elizabeth said yes to the cuy (guinea pig) but not with eating conejos (rabbit)
