Day 139: Jardin Japones
Monday, June 6, 2011
Terry's mom arrived today for a nine day visit. While she is here, we have a long list of things planned and first on our list was the Jardin Japones (Japanese Garden)
The 5 acre Japanese Garden is located in the Parks of Palermo and is equipped with all the features of a traditional Japanese garden; koi fish swimming in the lake, waterfalls, bridges, tea house, a Japanese Peace Bell and a bonsai garden. One of the largest gardens of it's kind outside of Japan, it is administered by the non-profit Japanese Argentine Cultural Foundation.
It's so peaceful inside the gardens you almost forget that you are in such a bustling city.
Cost was $8 pesos per person
Hours of operation 10:00 am to 6:00 pm everyday
